Hi, I'm Jorrit. I'm an alround IT guy with over 13 years experience who works at the University of Groningen as an application manager / systems administrator. Previously I've worked at OCLC and KPN.

I'm an experienced admin of (among others) Kaltura, Brightspace, Blue (explorance), Raiser's Edge and previously BicatWise.

My responsibilities include troubleshooting complex issues, testing updates, communication with vendors, configuring new or existing functionalities and access management. I've also been involved with quite a few software migrations and implementations, data cleanup projects and decommissioning projects.

Currently my main focus is automating processes with Python (and a little help from Claude Code).

I've recently worked on data management in Kaltura, Subtitles in Kaltura (using whisper) and using AI to detect which recordings could possibly be deleted.
